Treatz is operated by 1001613716 Ontario Inc., operating as webfaCeMEdia, 57 Finch Avenue West, North York, Ontario M2N 0K9, Canada. This page explains what Treatz collects and why. Questions: privacy@webfacemedia.com.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, and optionally your name, phone number and birthday (month and day only — never the year).
- Visits at Treatz shops: the shop, date and time, amount, tax and tip of payments at participating shops, used to calculate your points.
- Linked cards (only if you choose to link one): a one-way fingerprint made from your card's first six digits, last four digits and cardholder name. We cannot turn it back into a card number. We keep the last four digits and card brand so you can recognise the card in the app. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.
- Notifications: a push token for your device, if you allow notifications.
- Location: used on your phone to sort nearby shops. It is not sent to or stored by Treatz.
How it's used and shared
We use this information to run your rewards: crediting points, showing your balance and history, and letting you redeem rewards. Each shop sees the members of its own program — name, visits, points and redemptions at that shop — and nothing about your activity at other shops. We do not sell your personal information. Marketing messages from shops are off by default and only sent if you turn them on; you can turn them off at any time in the app.
Service providers
We use service providers to run Treatz: Clerk (sign-in), Convex (database), Cloudflare (website), Expo (push notifications) and Clover (the shop's payment system, which sends us payment details for participating shops). Data may be stored or processed outside Canada.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can unlink a card at any time in the app. To delete your account and data, email privacy@webfacemedia.com from the address on your account.
